Welcome
Hi, I am Ann, a self proclaimed dish hoarder. I have a penchant for anything plaid, polka dot, or paisley. I love mixing patterns and colors. This has evolved into paper projects as well. I created this page as a way to share my inspiration and ideas with others! I find myself starting a new chapter in life at 65!! I am so grateful to the support of my children and my friends who have been by my side. I look forward to many more years of creative endeavors and hope to share more with you in the future! Thanks for stopping by :)

Love your gorgeous lilacs tablescape from the plates to the stems! Your bottles are beautiful! I have lilac envy, it's too hot to grow them here and they are heavenly!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day. Your beautiful lilacs are so wonderful on the table in all those vases!! Your dishes are a perfect match to the flowers. I bet they smell good. I just planted a lilac bush this year. My sis in law has one so I know they grow, but will it grow for me???? LOL.. xo marlis
ReplyDeleteLilacs are one of my favorites, but we can't grow them in the TX heat. Your table with all the lilac details is full of charm. Thanks for sharing this beautiful setting.
ReplyDeleteOh that stem ware is beautiful, I think I can smell the lilacs through my screen lol! Funny how this table says "mother" without words. I think the combination of the softness of the lavender color and the delicate lilacs are just so feminine add to that the elegance of the stem ware and you have the essence of a mother.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table setting! It's pretty enough to pin and that's exactly what I am doing.
ReplyDeleteAnn - this is so lovely! The first thing I noticed was the way the swirls on the stemware is so similar to the swirls on the plates. the lilacs are just so sweet and all of the purple is gorgeous. I hope you and your mother have a wonderful day on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteOh Ann, I love your lilac table! I miss lilacs from Ohio as we don't have them in Texas. I can still smell them in my mind. Your napkins are beautiful and I know I would enjoy the special fabric store you visited. Your stemware is gorgeous and looks perfect with the rest of your table. Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeletep.s. I grew up in Columbus and all four of our children were born there. Go Bucks!!
BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE the purple!

DeleteI'm really sorry that your Mom won't be able to visit your home with this beautiful - EXTRAORDINARILY beautiful - tablescape with all the pretty purple!!!! I LOVE purple, and I love lilacs. What a great setting they make!!!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL plates and stemware!!! Your centerpiece is absolutely fabulous, too! That's a great way to display lilacs!!! I'm always in such a hurry to try and display them in clumps, but singles in individual vases really look terrific!!!!!!!
Have a wonderful weekend with your Mom!!!
Oh, your table is stunning Ann! Like Alycia, it's so sad you won't be together with your dear mom this Sunday, but that's life. When I lived here and mother in the USA for so many years, than we missed each other a lot! Your china, stemware and your lilacs centerpiece is gorgeous! I love, love your purple tablescape for our special day! So happy you dropped by to visit, sweet lady. Big hugs,
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Your setting is truly beautiful! Love love love the purple!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the prettiest Mother's Day tables I have seen...I can almost smell the lilacs...wait, I can...I brought a large bouquet in this afternoon! They never last long enough to suit me.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the visit to your mother's and the time spent with your boys...Happy Mother's Day, Ann.
Your tablescape is striking. I love the purple accents & lilacs. (mine are just starting to bloom) Can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteOh I love your gorgeous lilac tablescape - what mom wouldn't feel so special sitting at that table! Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteLove, Love, Love your beautiful lilac table!! Not only does it look wonderful for Mother's Day, but purple is my favorite color, so it would look great to me on any day! :O) Enjoy your Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Lanita
Love your lilacs and the lilac containers, so beautiful on your table as your centerpiece. Beautiful stemware, I think the pattern is like the green ones I have. They look stunning on your table.
ReplyDeleteYour lilacs and your table are both beautiful. I am inhaling now! My lilac has not bloomed yet and I am worried about it too. I've lost so many trees and shrubs the last two years with the hurricanes and early snows, and I really don't want to lose the lilac as it is huge. My mother would also love your table (I painted my guest room purple just for her! :) ) Linda
ReplyDeleteGorgeous lilac tablescape!
ReplyDeleteOh my - this is such a beautiful tablescape. We have moved to the mountains and I can plant lilacs! It will be wonderful to have some purple ones like this!
