Welcome
Hi, I am Ann, a self proclaimed dish hoarder. I have a penchant for anything plaid, polka dot, or paisley. I love mixing patterns and colors. This has evolved into paper projects as well. I created this page as a way to share my inspiration and ideas with others! I find myself starting a new chapter in life at 65!! I am so grateful to the support of my children and my friends who have been by my side. I look forward to many more years of creative endeavors and hope to share more with you in the future! Thanks for stopping by :)

Hi Ann, and Happy November! You had me at plaid and paisley. Like you, I am in love with that classic pattern. Your textiles are perfect with your dishware and flatware! I would be using that flatware a lot too - very handsome, and just perfect for fall through late winter. I really like the pheasants too - a nice alternative to the expected turkey who mostly graces tables this time of year. Even if you won't be hosting Thanksgiving, you've definitely got a beautiful table set for a special dinner!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I love your tablecloth and how you styled your table. Your autumn plate with leaves and acorns and the sweet bird is lovely. I love birds and my eye went right to your plate. Your gray linen napkin is perfect with the bittersweet napkin rings. Your entire plate stack is eye catching with scalloped edges and other textures. Plaid and Paisley is a neat blog name. I also love your etched crystal. I have a weakness for these goblets.
ReplyDeleteYour 'Give Thanks' cards are a wonderful reminder of all of God's blessings. We are indeed a blessed nation. May your family enjoy a rich and bountiful Thanksgiving.
Very festive, that tablecloth is perfect for your design. I love those fall leaf plates, and the scalloped edge ones too! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen gray and orange paired together Ann, and it's fabulous! I can almost see the smile on your face when you found that tablecloth, I know you were itching to get it home to play! Your plate stack is gorgeous, and the bittersweet is the perfect touch! It is all very stunning!
ReplyDeleteAnn, of course, you had to purchase that beautiful paisley tablecloth! I love the pairing of orange and gray...it is different and spotlights your creativity! The plate stack is just so pretty and I naturally love the bittersweet! Thank you for sharing what Thanksgiving is all about! Blessings~
ReplyDeleteAnn, that tablecloth is just gorgeous and makes the perfect underpinning for your table. Your dinnerware is so pretty and the bittersweet adds the perfect finishing touch. It has been so much fun blog hopping with you!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I love your tags on your pumpkins. Great idea. So cute. Your napkin rings are really pretty and add such a nice natural feel to your pretty grey napkins. Orange and grey is a great combination. Very creative.
ReplyDeleteThis color combo is beautiful and your tablecloth is so pretty. I don't think there is anything better than the bittersweet for your napkins. So much fun blog hopping with you and have a peaceful holiday!
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for paisley too! Your table is beautiful and I love the orange and grey colors that you have used. The twig silverware is perfect for the table. I also love the tags on the tiny pumpkins. It is perfect!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I love the unexpected combination of orange and gray inspired by your wonderful paisley tablecloth! Your flatware is perfect for fall or Thanksgiving and I love your use of the pheasants and your 'give thanks' reminders tied to your pumpkins. I'm thankful for a patient and handy husband too. ♥
ReplyDeleteYour tablecloth is gorgeous and is the perfect backdrop for your lovely tablescape. The rustic touches, like your pheasants and urns holding the gourds and pumpkins are a wonderful complement to the unique gray and orange color scheme. I am thankful to have you as part of my tablescape blogging tribe! Thanks for sharing your unique creativity and talents!
ReplyDeleteGrey and orange is an original combination, and it works perfectly! Love your autumn plates, this little bird is so sweet! Me too I would use them many, many times!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table Ann, love the tablecloth and runner. Great choice, it is perfect for a Thanksgiving table. Nice centerpiece and the pheasants are showy.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh we have like minds. We both chose grey and orange. 😊 what fun to see your spin on the color combo. I love your orange plates and table runners. Very pretty table. Sheila
ReplyDeleteWhile your paisley tablecloth is perfect, it is how you layered the other pieces that really makes it all work together. I really like how you turned the gray placemats so they hang down the table...or are those dish towels... if so, that is genius - they look fantastic! The plates with the bright orange leaves atop the other orange plates with the scalloped edges add so much interest to the dish stack. Your centerpiece with the cloches over pretty pumpkins all in a tray is a great focal point. I really enjoyed seeing this!
ReplyDeleteYour Table Setting is beautiful. I would love it if you could share this post on Full Plate Thursday, we now have special features for Table Settings. Thanks for sharing and hope to see you soon!

Your thanksgiving table is just darling. I love the paisley tablecloth!
ReplyDeleteYou have every right to be obsessed with this flatware. It really is cool!!! What else is cool is the combination of grey and orange. I just think orange really pops against more colors than black for the autumn season. Grey is one of those cool (literally and figuratively!) neutrals that works so well with so many bright colors. I really dig your "Giving Thanks" tags, too. A great reminder that it's all about more than just the turkey and fixins'!!! Happy November to you!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful, festive table, with so much charm. I love your stacked dining and beribboned pumpkins, and your linens are just perfect—grey and orange are so pretty together. I enjoyed playing with you this week!
ReplyDeleteI love the grey napkins. I think they were a great choice!
ReplyDeleteThe pumpkin napkin rings are so lovely too! Love the pretty silverware too!
