Celebrating Cinco de Mayo!

I always enjoy setting a Cinco de Mayo table because of the chance to play with so much color.
I have had several different Cinco de Mayo tables featuring peppers over the years!  So I decided on going with fruit this year.
My centerpiece consists of clay pots,  faux cactus,  faux flowers but honest to goodness real fruit!

After trying to stack up every colorful combination of plates, I finally decided to just use my Dollar Tree plates from years ago.
I found these napkins and place mats in the clearance section at Pier 1 a couple of years ago - I used these same place mats last year.
I know most Cinco de Mayo tables have margarita's on them - but we are kind of into tasting different beers right now.  We have had several new micro breweries pop up around us and we enjoy sampling all the craft beer.
Whether you are celebrating Cinco de Mayo or the Kentucky Derby this year -
it's going to be an eventful weekend.
I hope you get the chance to enjoy some of the fun!

Thanks for stopping by!
Ann

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. I really enjoyed seeing all the fantastic colour and vibrant decor in your Cinco de Mayo tablescape! The faux cacti look wonderful alongside the real fruit - great idea for the centerpiece! We love trying craft beers too and love that you used those instead of margaritas.

And I have a set of those plates, along with the bowls, too.
So bright and festive, makes me smile when I see them.
