Even though the calendar doesn't say so, summer is upon us here at the Lake.
I wanted to set this up down by the water but there was too much wind today.
We can see the beach from our property across one section of our little the lake. If the wind is blowing in the right direction we can hear happy beach noises, laughter, and screams of delight from the little ones as the play in the water.
I thought these chargers look like waves in the water. Seeing as we are a small inland lake - we don't get big waves until one of the larger ski boats go by.
The plastic tumblers have come out of storage and are our go to cups in the summer time.
I could not find a cute napkin ring - so I cut some beach balls out on my Silhouette and attached them to some simple white rings I had.
These girls cracked me up when I saw them at HomeGoods several months ago. Even though I had several other things I was purchasing - I just could not leave these two girls in the store - they had to come home with me!
This one reminds me of my oldest sister, Barb!
This one is my other sister, Carol!
(I was the baby of the family)
We used to go to Huntington Beach on Lake Erie every summer when we were kids. While our bathing suits were not quite this retro - they were closer to this then what I see at the beach now!!!
I am dating myself when I say we used to wear swim caps!?!? Anyone remember those? I was always wishing for one with a flower on the side!
I hope your summer is starting off with some fun!!
Thanks for stopping by,
Ann

ReplyDeleteLe pliage des serviettes est sympa.
Ann, this Tablescape is so much fun! The swimming girls are perfect for your table. Your beach ball napkin rings are a great choice, even if you had to make them. Now this setting speaks Summer, Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable Ann! I would have bought those bathers too, they are too cute!! I love how you crafted your beach ball napkin rings, the whole table is just fabulous!! I try to stay out of HG, too many temptations, but definitely my happy place!! Is there a way to follow your blog, I don't seem to see it and I'd love to follow you...

Jenna, I don't have an email list - Don't know how to do that on Blogger. But If you are not on a mobile app - you can hit follow me on the righthand side of my blog on the desktop format.
DeleteI have really been trying to decide to hire someone to help me amp up my blog - or just fumble along like it is!!
I wanted a swim cap with a flower on the side as well. Do they even make them anymore? The swim girls are fantastic and a beautiful addition to your table. Thanks for joining us again at Celebrate Your Story, have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute, Ann! Those bathing beauties are all that, and they steal the show on the table. And yes, I do remember swim caps, lol. I had bad ear problems when I was a kid (tubes when it was fairly major surgery for a kid, and all that yucky stuff), so I wore them to try to keep from getting middle ear infections.
ReplyDeleteLove the combo of all your blues on this table. Super cute and summery!
Love those ladies, what a great centerpiece! It's so much fun when you make a shopping discovery of something you didn't know you had to have.
ReplyDeleteAnn, this just screams summer. Love those bathing beauties. Home Goods is such an awesome store. Everything just meshes beautifully. Your attention to detail is amazing. If you need help with your blog, drop me a line. I design blogs and offer Blogger support.
ReplyDeleteLInda, You may be hearing from me soon!!!! Thanks!!
DeleteLove your tablescape Ann and I think we all wanted a swim cap with a flower on the side. Watching Esther Williams at the movies inspired me to have one like all her "swimmers" with their underwater synchronized swimming feats. LOL
