In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

Welcome
Hi, I am Ann, a self proclaimed dish hoarder. I have a penchant for anything plaid, polka dot, or paisley. I love mixing patterns and colors. This has evolved into paper projects as well. I created this page as a way to share my inspiration and ideas with others! I find myself starting a new chapter in life at 65!! I am so grateful to the support of my children and my friends who have been by my side. I look forward to many more years of creative endeavors and hope to share more with you in the future! Thanks for stopping by :)

Ann, I had to chuckle at “March is in like a goose and out like a lamb at my place” ;) To answer, your question, there are lots of times I find myself wishing there was one more or two of something in the HG’s tabletop department! I love the lambs and the goose, I have a ‘thing’ for animals with flowers in their hair or wearing fascinators ;) I love your green pinstripe tablecloth and pastel plaid plates and your favor boxes are adorable! It’s always a treat to have a virtual seat at your table and blog hop with you. ♥
ReplyDeleteAnn, I love coming to your table. It is always so full of fun and creative ideas! Those lamb and goose plates are adorable, and I can vouch for March coming in like a goose, although it's Canada goose (geese). We are plagued with those birds along our riverbank, and they're pairing off right now for the inevitable propagation of more.
ReplyDeleteThe plaid plates with those animal finds are just perfect together. Love the linens, love the favors. I'd love sitting with you at this table, no matter what the weather says outside!
What fun plates!! I like the little lambs best too, although the ducks are cute. I am such a dish freak, it is best that I not have a Home Goods nearby, LOL!! I like the greenery touch on those placemats too. Such a pretty and springlike table, now let's have some warmer weather. It is 22 degrees here this morning, and I am ready for it to warm up.
ReplyDeleteI had to smile at your first photo Ann...the lamb is adorable. I feel your pain when looking for cute plates, etc at Home Goods. I have said this before but I think our Home Goods is where all the unwanted odds and ends go when they don't sell at other Home Good stores because the pickings are always slim. ;( Having said that, I adore your tablescape no matter what the weather outside is saying.
ReplyDeleteOh your plates are adorable Ann! I love the goose! You have definitely brought Spring to your kitchen with the fresh bright plaid plates and flower adorned lambs and geese! It seems like there is an explosion of Spring time plates and accessories to tempt us this year! And yes, HomeGoods always seems to have 3, not 4 of everything! I love the striped cloth and the wonderful green place mats. The mini bouquets are a lovely complement to your floral topped friends and the party favors you made are really cute and special. We don't have snow, but it's a balmy 24 degrees in Alabama this morning! Happy Hopping,
ReplyDeleteJenna
Wow Ann this really made me smile! The plaid trimmed pastel plates are wonderful and look fantastic with your salad plates. The lambs face made me smile immediately and the goose is cute too. I was snickering at your thought about the chick with posture issues! We are going to have a Home Goods store here soon. This may or may not be a good thing! Ask my husband and he’ll say not a good thing but ask me and I’m thrilled! It’s still snowy here too and I sure am hoping spring will get hopping real soon!
ReplyDeleteDarling plates both pastel plaid and whimsical animals! The soft green stripe cloth was an excellent backdrop and I agree the placemats with that look of greenery was perfect.
ReplyDeleteI chuckled through your commentary too. I can tell you are a fun person to be around.
Loved how you styled your centerpiece also.
Fun blog hopping with you, Ann.
Hi Ann, I wouldn't at all think of snow when looking at your gorgeous Spring table. Your plaid chargers and sweet animal print salad plates are perfect and make me feel as if I am peering into my colorful Easter basket in Spring. I love the mixture of colors. It is so playful. The greens as a placemat are the perfect touch and complement you greenery in your centerpiece and your pop of bold colored flowers. The gummy candy gift boxes add even more of the Easter basket feel to your sweet and charming table. So delightful and whimsical. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI love your table and those plates are just too adorable! I think we all shop at HomeGoods for pretty printed plates...they do have the greatest selection! Your table is so beautiful and is the quintessential spring tablescape! I love your stemware also! I'm excited to be part of the this group tour this time! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI think you captured spring beautifully in your table. I am drooling over the plaid rimmed plates. I am addicted to Home Goods and can shop four different stores in one day if I stretch it and am really on the "hunt". I never saw the plaid plates that you have used. If I had, a set of them would be in my own dish collection. Thank you
ReplyDeleteYour animal plates are DARLING! Such a cheerful and happy table to welcome spring--I love it! Happy to be joining you on the tablescape hop this week! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
ReplyDeleteAnn, I love everything about your table from the pinstripe cloth to the pastel plaid plates, and whimsical salad plates. I am crazy over the plaid plates, wish there was a HG near me. You may have snow on the ground, but inside you have created springtime on your table. It is always fun hoppin’ with you!
ReplyDeleteOh Ann, I do 'hate' when you can't find enough of a piece of tableware or when a tablecloth you love isn't in the size you need (just happened to me last week)! But, I gotta tell you, I'm loving that duck/goose --- reminds me of Puddleduck from Beatrix Potter. And those plaid plates...bee still my heart. There's no way I would've left the store without them!
ReplyDeleteI will be on the hunt for plaid rimmed plates, those are so pretty. The leafy chargers make a great base for your stack and your pinstriped cloth adds lots of texture to this beautiful table.
ReplyDeleteI love your table and it certainly says spring with these cute goose and lamb plates! Would you like me to let you know if I find a couple of these lamb plates at one of my Home Goods? Your humorous story about in like a goose and out like a lamb and the chick with the posture problem brought a smile to my face today! I hope the weather turns for you soon! Thanks for sharing your table styling talents with us for another blog hop!
ReplyDeleteHi Ann! Ha, haven’t we all gone through the (need one more) item! Maybe one of your reader guests will find a lamb plate for you! I fell in love with the plaid dishes so will be looking for them soon. Thanks for creating a breath of spring!
ReplyDeleteAnn, such a beautiful spring table. Those faces make me smile. They look so adorable with the plaid plates. Don't you just love those Pier1 chargers? Maybe we can all look out for the missing labb plate. The flowers are so pretty. I guess I need to get to my HG store more often. Always a pleasure Ann.
ReplyDeleteHappy almost spring. You table is lovely and your plates ( poor posture free) are so sweet too. I in like a goose and out like a lamb, it could catch on ( wink). Pinned! Hugs

ReplyDeleteAnn, your table is so bright and cheerful...such a contrast to the still wintry weather outside! The lamb and goose plates are adorable and are set off so well by the plaid rimmed plates. I love how you used green in the placemats, the pin striped tablecloth and the stemware. And what a nice touch to give your guests a favor in box you created. It's a pleasure joining you on this hop. Happy Spring!
