Ann @ Corner of Plaid and Paisley
In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

Welcome
Hi, I am Ann, a self proclaimed dish hoarder. I have a penchant for anything plaid, polka dot, or paisley. I love mixing patterns and colors. This has evolved into paper projects as well. I created this page as a way to share my inspiration and ideas with others! I find myself starting a new chapter in life at 65!! I am so grateful to the support of my children and my friends who have been by my side. I look forward to many more years of creative endeavors and hope to share more with you in the future! Thanks for stopping by :)

Ann, that is one fun and fabulous explosion of red and white blue on your table! I always love pattern play, and yours is always sharp-looking! ♫♪"I wear my sunglasses at night..."♪♫ nothing wrong with that!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have Target! They didn’t last long here in Canada, and I miss that darn dollar spot! I love your festive table. The little bundle with the flag and candles on each plate are a nice touch. And, that table throw is the perfect back drop to the gorgeous plate stacks and fireworks centrepiece. I too have a love-hate relationship with fireworks, but for me it is because it scares the animals, which is enough for me to take a pass!
ReplyDeleteAnn, add me to the list of love/hate fireworks.....I like watching the night displays on television or out my front door, but don't like all the crowds, parking, etc. I do not like the fire crackers that go off for 3 days before, during, and after the holiday. My little Jesse James quivers with fear. Having said that, I love your tablescape and all the red, white and blue. I don't think one can ever have too much when it comes to decorating for this holiday. LOL...and the "explosion" of colors and items on your table make me want to pull up a chair and sit and chat with you. Happy 4th to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteAnn, your plate stack of stars and stripes is amazing! Even the salt and pepper shakers are patriotic!🇺🇸I love your festive mantle which enhances your tablescape. Have a great holiday celebration with your company. They are in for a treat!
ReplyDeleteYour table is a celebration of red white and blue Ann, it looks like an explosion of fireworks itself! I LOVE all the cute things you found at Target, especially the fabulous napkins! So many clever details, like the red licorice in the glass, so Americana! The tags you made are adorable! Great way to start our hop!!

Ann, I love it all!!! The crazy mix of pattern is fantastic and you really pulled it all together by making it all red, white and blue! I haven't been in Target for a few weeks, and I am obviously missing out. The plate stack is so cute and incorporates all of those fun patterns! I love the wicker raised piece to gather some of your elements for the centerpiece! Thank you for sharing your talents with us again!!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I know exactly what you mean about the Target Dollar Spot. It's addictive. My Target is 3 ~ 5 minutes away, depending on the light. Can be a good thing ~ or a bad!! I think I saw the same stars on blue ramekin on your table that I bought. Love all your layering of patterns and colors. It's so fun and festive. The fireworks on the table are so cute.
ReplyDeleteAnn, your table is so festive and I love your combination of plaids, stripes, and stars! Happy to be joining you for the hop this week! Blessings, Cecilia @ My Thrift Store Addiction
ReplyDeleteAnn, I always look forward to your tables! I blame the Dollar Spot at Target for my ‘snowball’ buying too. ;) I admired those star and stripes bowls when I was there a few weeks ago. You have a wonderful collection of stars, stripes and plaids to celebrate the red, white and blue! Your Stamping Up! tags add such a special touch to your place settings. As always, it’s a treat to blog hop with you. ♥
ReplyDeleteIt's red, white, and blue here all summer long, so this hop is fun for me. I love seeing what others do to celebrate our patriotic summer holidays. Thanks for the inspiration. Love your tags!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I am in love with the festive spirit you captured in your 4th of July table decor! I feel like I have missed some good stuff at the Target dollar spot! Ours is always so picked over. I think some people know when it will be restocked and are standing there waiting to snatch up all the good stuff!
ReplyDeleteLove the mantle in the background creating such a fun room.
Ann, I only wish that there was a Target near me. You came out with an amazing stash of red, white, and blue! I am a huge fan of mixing patterns, so your plaids and stripes are so festive. I love your plate stack and the entire table is patriotic perfection! I adore the tags that you made and your mantel dressed in the red, white, and blue! It is a pleasure blog hopping with you this week❤️🇺🇸💙
ReplyDeleteAnn, I liked that you used plaids in red, white and blue. They gave your table a look that was patriotic but unexpected. (I know what you mean by being taken in by Target -- it happens to me too!)
ReplyDeleteso very pretty Ann. Your stars, plaid and stripes look amazing. Amazing how we end up bringing things home that were not on the list. Target has some wonderful decor plus the dollar store. I love the cute bowls. Your plate stack is awesome. You are so crafty. the tags look wonderful on each place setting. I know your company will be impressed. Always a pleasure to visit Ann.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun and festive table, Ann! Your creativity shines through! I love how you all of your patterns look so beautiful together. Target Dollar Spot gets me every time too! So happy to be hopping with you!
