Sailing Away Tablescape

Since boating season is still in full go on our little lake, I was inspired to do another nautical table.
I had passed up this pair of seagulls twice at Hobby Lobby, but the third time I could no longer resist. The fact that they were now 50% off helped too!
I had some scraps left of this fabulous Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! that I thought would make really cute sail boats.
Then of course I needed something to put a little salt water taffy in for a favor.  So I made these simple little totes and attached an anchor I stamped and cut with the Sailing Home Bundle with some nautical bakers twine.
These are the dishes I keep out all summer, they just go with the kind of rustic lake vibe I try for in our home!
I littered the table with some drift wood pieces, nautical knots and bottles!
I know summer is just sailing by!!
I hope you enjoy these last few weeks of the season!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  3. I'm loving this, Ann, particularly the stripes and plaids! Such a pleasing mix of patterns and materials. The sailboats you made are so cute! By all means enjoy the rest of summer -- for us summer weather will last until October.
