December Blog Hop - SAB/New Catalog Sneak Peak

Welcome to the Stampin' Dreams December Blog Hop!
I am Ann Krucek, coming to you from the United States.
We are showing off our sneak peaks into the Saleabration and Mini Catalog coming out in January.
For the blog hop I decided to share some stocking stuffers I made up for the golfers in my family this Christmas.

I am a bit behind in my Christmas preparations  - making something from the new catalog that I could use as gifts was the idea here, so I worked with the Country Club Suite - Stamp set, Die set and Designer Series Paper.
The Clear Tiny Treat  box is  the perfect size for a golf ball - then I just embellished it with some of the fabulous argyle paper from the Country Club Designer Series Paper.  I stamp the ball and tee from the Clubhouse stamp set and colored it with my Stampin' blends.

The bigger acetate box holds six golf tees all dressed up to make a cute gift.  I cut one Acetate Card Box in half to make this.  I cannot give you exact sizes for this because each box I cut in half came out just a little different - I cut them quickly with a large paper cutter - not thinking that I should have lined them up a little more precisely.  But I will give you approximate measurements and you can tweak from there.

Back and flap closure piece is approx 5" x 4 3/4"
Depending on how big you want the closer flap - I scored mine at 3/4" and again at 1 1/4" - again you may have to adjust these measurements.

The tee holder piece is 3 X 4 3/4"
It is scored at 1/2", 1" , 2 " and 2 1/2" .  Then I used a standard hole punch to punch six holes on each side - see photo above for placement.
I put tape on the the two outside edges that do not have holes punched and folded the flaps under and attached those flaps to the piece that slides into the acrylic box.
Hopefully you can tell by these photos how this goes!! dress up the holder with some strips of DSP - then stick your golf tees in with the points down into the tray and slide your insert with the tee tops into the closed end of the acrylic box.  The flap goes on the outside of the acrylic and secured with some tear and tape.

I didn't leave out the female golfers.  Even though this Country Club Suite found on page 46 is predominately male with a Father's Day sentiment - I was able to put my spin on it to make a more feminine version for my sister.
I love all the paper in this collection, it will be fun to play with some more after Christmas!
By the way - on the top of my Christmas list is a new 5 Iron!!!
We golf a lot - so this set was a must for me!!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.
