Red White and Blue Patriotic Tablescape

Welcome to my 4th of July Table!
I am joining my talented friends for a Patriotic Tablescape Blog Hop.
Thank you to Chloe and Andrea for pulling us all together for this spectacular display of pride for our countries.
We will have lots of inspiration for your holiday fun and all the links will be at the bottom of my post.
I got the inspiration for my table from some beautiful patriotic quilts I had seen on Pinterest.  While I am a sewer and love fabric, I have never been much of a quilter - mostly because of the time.  There are only so many hobbies(and money) a girl can have!!  So while I did not sew anything for this table,  I tried to choose from the dishes I had on hand, some that reminded me of fabric in old quilts.
I made some  paper pieced quilt like designs for my little favor totes bags!
I used the new Stampin' Up! The Right Triangle Bundle for these little star and pinwheel quilt designs on the little tote boxes. I stamped and cut a million little triangles and had fun piecing them all together in different quilt block designs - I think glue is a bit easier than if I had had to sew them all together!!  I also made a larger pieced project for the center of my wood frame wall art on the mantel.
This pitcher filled with waving flags was a must on the table since the design has a quilt square look to it.
I love this red tray because it reminds me of a little red wagon!
We normally have a huge shindig here over the 4th because our little lake usually has such a spectacular fireworks show.  Unfortunately - that has been pushed back to Labor Day Weekend if all goes well with the pandemic numbers in this area.  We have scaled back out party to just include our immediate family - but I am thrilled to have them over and spend some time with them!

Now, as promised - here are all of the links to some wonderful table stylists, showing off each of their patriotic tables.  Have fun looking through all of them!!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. So many wonderful red, white and blue details on your table Ann! I adore your plate stack and quilt-inspired layers of dishes and patterns. Your little party favor totes and wall are perfectly “quilted”! Your pitcher is perfect with its ceramic patterned squares. So many 4th of July celebrations will be different this year. I’m guessing there will be more individual smaller fireworks shows on our lake this year instead of the normal larger events. Happy to be hopping with you this week, Happy 4th ♥

Of course your special quilted treat bags are a wonderful touch and the place settings with quilt like patterns on the dishes just scream Americana, so cute! I'm sorry about your fireworks, I know they've been cancelled in many places, but so glad you can at least have a small family celebration! Happy 4th to you! 🇺🇸

  14. Ann, I think your quilt theme idea is so clever. I have done some quilting, but have given up that hobby. It is fun to see what you selected for your theme. Great choices! I have the red checked plates with the tassle motif. They are favorites that I use for Christmas and Valentines. I need to pull them out for the 4th! Happy 4th to you and your family. I'm happy you can get together.

    1. Teresa, i usually put a source on my tablescapes but all of these dishes are old. The bowls are Certified International that i bought years ago at a little store in Ohio's Amish country, the red check is Sur La Table bought on clearance last year after Christmas. The blue rose is Churchill bought years ago at Marshall's and not sure about the bottom blue plate- I've had those for at least 8 years. Hope this helps!

  16. Wow, Ann, I'd say you're an honorary quilter for taking the time to do all that stamping on the little tote boxes! Very cool theme for your tablescape. I always love seeing your mix of elements, especially your plates stacks, for these tablescape hops. You have some great pieces in your inventory, and a keen eye for displaying them in fresh ways. I love it all, and the it really makes for a great summer display. Stay well, and happy summer!

  17. Ann, I am always intrigued with your tablescapes because of your love for mixing up the patterns. I, too, love quilts and would love to learn to sew one, if I had the time and money to do so as well. They are a work of art and such a wonderful family heirloom. Your little quilt gift bags are perfect for your table and their matching counterparts on your mantel. I get such a warm, homespun feeling seeing your cozy tablescape. It is always a pleasure to blog hop with you. Have a fun holiday with your immediate family.
