Welcome
Hi, I am Ann, a self proclaimed dish hoarder. I have a penchant for anything plaid, polka dot, or paisley. I love mixing patterns and colors. This has evolved into paper projects as well. I created this page as a way to share my inspiration and ideas with others! I find myself starting a new chapter in life at 65!! I am so grateful to the support of my children and my friends who have been by my side. I look forward to many more years of creative endeavors and hope to share more with you in the future! Thanks for stopping by :)

So many wonderful red, white and blue details on your table Ann! I adore your plate stack and quilt-inspired layers of dishes and patterns. Your little party favor totes and wall are perfectly “quilted”! Your pitcher is perfect with its ceramic patterned squares. So many 4th of July celebrations will be different this year. I’m guessing there will be more individual smaller fireworks shows on our lake this year instead of the normal larger events. Happy to be hopping with you this week, Happy 4th ♥

ReplyDeletehi Ann, your red tray does look like a little red wagon, I love that!!! Of course your special quilted treat bags are a wonderful touch and the place settings with quilt like patterns on the dishes just scream Americana, so cute! I'm sorry about your fireworks, I know they've been cancelled in many places, but so glad you can at least have a small family celebration! Happy 4th to you! 🇺🇸

Ann, you really did bring the quilt idea to life! Looking closely at your treat bags, I was sure you had sewn those little triangles on! The plate stack is especially pretty, but those red and white plates have stolen my heart! I love the design! Thanks again for hopping with us!

ReplyDeleteYour plate stack is so pretty. I love the pretty bowls.
I know your celebration with your family will be nice.
Oh, I have not thought about fireworks getting cancelled. Had't gotten there yet. Sad,so many things are different this year. Enjoy your family celebration.
Ann, I think your quilt theme idea is so clever. I have done some quilting, but have given up that hobby. It is fun to see what you selected for your theme. Great choices! I have the red checked plates with the tassle motif. They are favorites that I use for Christmas and Valentines. I need to pull them out for the 4th! Happy 4th to you and your family. I'm happy you can get together.
ReplyDeleteWould you mind telling me where you got your plates and bowls...love them! Beautiful tablescape❤️
ReplyDeleteTeresa, i usually put a source on my tablescapes but all of these dishes are old. The bowls are Certified International that i bought years ago at a little store in Ohio's Amish country, the red check is Sur La Table bought on clearance last year after Christmas. The blue rose is Churchill bought years ago at Marshall's and not sure about the bottom blue plate- I've had those for at least 8 years. Hope this helps!
DeleteWow, Ann, I'd say you're an honorary quilter for taking the time to do all that stamping on the little tote boxes! Very cool theme for your tablescape. I always love seeing your mix of elements, especially your plates stacks, for these tablescape hops. You have some great pieces in your inventory, and a keen eye for displaying them in fresh ways. I love it all, and the it really makes for a great summer display. Stay well, and happy summer!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I am always intrigued with your tablescapes because of your love for mixing up the patterns. I, too, love quilts and would love to learn to sew one, if I had the time and money to do so as well. They are a work of art and such a wonderful family heirloom. Your little quilt gift bags are perfect for your table and their matching counterparts on your mantel. I get such a warm, homespun feeling seeing your cozy tablescape. It is always a pleasure to blog hop with you. Have a fun holiday with your immediate family.
