Bee Tablescape and Blog Hop

Welcome to my Sweet Bee Tablescape!

I am joining a group of table stylist to show off what we can do with the Bee theme on our tables.
Much thanks to Debbee from Debbee's Buzz for organizing this Bee-utiful Hop!!
The links to the other inspirational tables will be at the end of my post.

These grey and deep yellow placemats were the inspiration for my table, so I began pulling grey and all things bee from my stash.
I love using these Sur La Table Bee plates, I got them on clearance years ago along with the bee crock - and I have used them over and over again.

I would have liked to have used my yellow daffodils from my garden but our late April snow fall kind of did those in, so I had to settle for some grocery store flowers.  I live in a pretty rural area and our tiny little grocery store does not carry a large selection of flowers - so it is a bit limiting as to what kind of flowers I can get.
You will notice a few Rae Dunn pieces around the table, these were gifted to me and I am starting to get a nice little collection of her work.
Since I do not own any bee napkin rings I made my own with some Stampin' Up! cardstock and a bee die cut.  I also ran the yellow cardstock through an embossing folder to give it a bee hive texture.
I made the hexagon bee boxes with more cardstock and some Designer Series Paper,  decorated it with the Honey Bee Stamp set (now retired)  and put a few sweet treats in them for each placesetting.

Ready to see some more Bee-utiful tables?!?!?

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. Ann, I love your color palette of gray, white and yellow! I’ve long admired those Sur la Table bee plates and your placemats tie your table together bee-utifully. I always enjoy seeing your sweet coordinating party favors you’ve ‘stamped up’! The Rae Dunn honey pot is adorable and I love that the busy bee and honey bee mugs interiors are yellow. :) As always it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you! Happy Wednesday ♥

  2. Very cleverly done with your die cut, Ann. I love how you get so creative with your Stampin' Up, a trademark of yours. I am drawn to this grey, yellow and white color scheme and have used it in my seasonal home decor before, including the salad plates, which I also love. Your Rae Dunn items make for nice accents to an already attractive table. Well done! The flower bouquet is elevated with that adorable honeycomb pot they're in. Well done, as always. I'm happy to be bee-side you in this tablescaping fun!

  3. Bee still my heart Ann --- I love your charming bee theme table. I can appreciate how those pretty placemats inspired the unique gray and yellow color scheme. Such a bee-utiful plate stack. I've searched for years for those fabulous yellow top plates to no avail! And, to think you found them on sale too. Always look forward to your Stampin' Up table favors and embellishments. Especially like the napkin rings with the embossed texture. Thank you for sharing your table styling and crafting talents on the hop today. I'm all abuzz!

  4. Ann, I've been absorbing the color combo of yellow, white and gray this summer, and love how you used all three on your table. The hint of mauve/pink adds a nice pop of intrigue to the setting. Also love those place matts, with the deep mustard yellow plates!
It's always fun joining up with you on these hops.

  8. Hush UP!!!!! What a great idea on your napkin rings! They turned out so cool!!!!!! Very artistic! That was thinking WAY outside the box and a perfect example of necessity being the Mother of Invention!!!!!! I am thoroughly impressed with your creativity there!!!! As for your flowers, I think the mix of colors makes the whole table stand out whereas all yellow may have gotten overlooked with all the other elements of that singular color on the table. And bees gravitate toward ALL KINDS of flowers, so the one you chose are perfect! Again...Mother of Invention there! Beautiful tablescape!!!!!!!! Have a peaceful weekend!

  9. Such a lovely table, Ann! The grey buffalo check tablecloth is the perfect backdrop for the vibrant pops of yellow. I love the plate stack...the Sur La Table bee plates are a show stopper! Your centerpiece is so pretty in the yellow crock and definitely doesn't look like supermarket flowers. I almost bought some Rae Dunn pieces for this hop, too. I love the ones you chose and how they tie in with your theme. I always enjoy seeing the Stampin' Up favors that you create. They add so much personality to your tables. It was fun to hop with you again!
