Welcome to Corner of Plaid and Paisley!!
I am participating in the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop today!
The theme of this month's hop is Step it Up! We are to take a card and make a beginner version, then a step up for the casual stamper, then all out for the avid cardmaker.
The links for all of the bloggers participating will be at the bottom of my post. Make sure you check out all of the ideas - and see which one is your favorite!

I chose the Clever Cats Stamp Set for my three cards.
The first card is a Simple Stamping card - consisting of just paper, ink and one stamp set.
- The base of this card is Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, a strip of Basic Black Cardstock that is 2 1/2" X 5 1/2" adhered down the middle of the card base.
- I stamped three of the pumpkins on a strip of Basic White Cardstock that is 2 1/4" x 5 1/2" using black Momento ink.
- Then I went back and stamped the over the pumpkin with the solid pumpkin stamp in Pale Papaya ink. (Note: I turned my stamp backwards on my block - I thought the bigger back side of the stamp fit the pumpkin better than the front side of the stamp - I didn't like the white spaces I got with the correct side of the stamp.)
- Stamped my Cat and sentiment - then adhered the white strip on top of the black.
- Stamped my bats!! Easy Peasy!!!
- This has a Basic Black card base with a Pumpkin Pie Mat that is 4" X 5 1/4"
- The Orange and black DSP is from the Cute Halloween 6"X6" DSP pack - measures 3 3/4" x 5 1/4 " adhered to the orange mat.
- Stamped the same three pumpkins and the cat
- The zig zag stamp is from the Stitchery Stamp set.
- Both of the sentiment dies are from the Ornate Frames Dies - the black one is run through a second time to shorten it.
- the circle dies for the bats are from the Gingerbread Dies.
- Embellished with the Black & White Baker's Twine from Playful Pets trim pack and a Matte Black Dots.
- This one has an additional layer of the polka dot DSP
- additional layers of zig zag Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black cardstock that were cut with the Basic Border Dies.
- The tiny bats were cut in Basic White with the circle dies included in the Gingerbread dies but backed with a black mat this time.
- I colored my pumpkins with my Stampin Blends this time.
- The sentiment is done with White Embossing Powder
- Added a Black Gingham Ribbon bow
I love these cards! your tip on using the back of the stamp to fill in the pumpkin was very clever too ~ I thought maybe it was suppose to be a bat cave?? the trio of pumpkins is adorable! Happy Halloween ~
