Valentine's Day is sneaking up on us!! Are you ready to celebrate?
I set a fun table to celebrate with loved ones just for the occasion.
I am joining my tablescaping friends with for a wonderful Valentine's Day Tablescape Blog Hop.
There will be plenty of endearing tables to inspire your Valentine Celebration.
All of the links will be posted at the of my post.
While out shopping for some new organizational bins for the new year, I ran across these little kiss dessert plates at Marshalls. They also had the matching little tray I picked up as well. Of course I came out of the store with no organization bins but more plates!!
At least these were small appetizer plates and I was able to use plates and chargers I already had at home so it didn't make for too much more storage issues.
After much mixing and matching of chargers and plates, I finally settled on this combination:
a casual setting with my red placemats with the white hem stitching, a distressed edge white charger, wood look dinner plates, red dessert plates, topped with the new appetizer plates.
I chose a simple wine glass, wood flatware and a fun polka dot napkin with a wood napkin ring to finish off the placesetting.
I would like to thank my girlfriend, Cheryl, for coming up with my centerpiece inspiration!
I designed and printed this little Plant One on Me sign out on my Silhouette and cut it out with some Stampin' Up! heart dies. Then stamped out a few smaller hearts as picks in my plants and stamped those hearts on the tissue paper that I wrapped the plants in. Just a heads up - your plants have to be pretty dry when you wrap them if you use tissue paper - other wise the moisture just seeps through. So warn your guests they need to take their plants home and water then right away!!
This was an easy and fun way to dress up my plants just for Valentine's day!
So let's see what everyone else has done to dress their tables up for this special occasion!!

I hope you are able to spread some love this Valentine's Day!
Whether it is sending a card to a long lost friend or hosting a Galentine's lunch - someone will be very grateful that you thought of them.💗
Virtual Kisses and Hugs to you all!! XOXOX
Good Morning Ann! Your post title and Valentine’s Day table theme is pun-ny! I love your super cute plates! I think we might have been separated at birth: “I came out of the store with no organization bins but more plates!” You’re a girl after my own heart. :) I love your red placemats with the white hem stitching and how you paired them with your polka dots, wood elements and distressed white chargers. I always enjoy seeing how you carry out your table theme with your Stampin' Up! details. As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Happy Tuesday ♥
ReplyDeleteAnn, love, love, love the plant theme and adorable lip plates! When it comes to "more plates," I must be yours and Mary's long lost triplet, lol. Thanks for the fun inspiration--pinned!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun table - your kiss plates are perfect for the holiday and I love your theme!! Isn't it funny how we go into a store with one goal and end up looking at dishes? I think it is in our genes! Have a Happy Valentines Day!
ReplyDeleteHello Ann, such a delightful post. Love your title. The little kiss plates are adorable and I love how you made them the star. The red placemats are perfect for your pretty plate stack. Love the polka dots, I know they are your favs. You are so talented creating fun party accessories. Always a pleasure to join you on these fun blog hops.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute table! Love the kiss dishes! I don’t have a Marshall’s, probably a good thing! Love the plants and the hearts in them. The polka dot napkins add the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute and whimsical play on the table and words, Ann! I laughed out loud at your comment of coming out of Marshall's with more dishes but not what you went in for. This would be really great table for girlfriends. I can imagine the conversation! Love the casual look you gave it all with the placemats. The plants and sign were a super creative idea! Love it. Thanks for joining the fun! It's always a pleasure when you join.
ReplyDeleteI see what you did there....plant one on me, LOL! I love how clever you are! I love to use houseplants in home decor this time of the year because I am NOT a winter girl, and it makes me sad when all the Poinsettias have dropped their leaves. Once that happens, I purchase a few more houseplants! I also like how the plants are on little wooden servers. So cute! And of COURSE the dessert plates tie the title of the post with the plants. I love it, Ann! Your post has definitely made me smile.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
XO,
Ricki Jill

Ann, I left a comment yesterday, but got an air message saying something was not working! Your table is wonderful! I love those lip smoothing plates, and would have purchased them instead of the organizing items :)

Ann, good thing I've been stuck at home with a cold 'cause I wouldn't have been able to resist those dishes either! They're such fun, and I love the way you styled the place settings. Especially like the centerpiece, with that trio of plants and cute little signs. I'll bet your meal will be lip smacking good too lol!
