Welcome to Corner of Plaid and Paisley where I am participating in the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop Sketch Challenge today!
The title of my post is a little off - because I was originally going to use the Country Floral Lane DSP with this card - but when I went back and read the instructions to the Sketch Challenge - we were to add a bit of bling!! So I switched paper and used the Textured Chic paper with the Country Bouquet Bundle to meet the criteria of this month's challenge.
Since this is a Sketch Challenge, we were to make something along the lines of this sketch:
But this is what I forgot when I scheduled the post - it is a DOUBLE challenge!!
We were to include some glimmer and shine!
I actually am glad I was challenged to do this because I never would have made this card otherwise - and I love how it turned out!!
I used the new
Country Bouquet Bundle, Petal Pink Cardstock and the
Textured Chic DSP. I punched out all the hearts with the County Bouquet Punch - which is always a fast an easy way to go! I stamped the outline heart stamp on the big hearts with VersaMark and embossed the edges with Gold Embossing powder.
I started my collage with a diamond shaped piece of Vellum Paper, then layered with a die cut piece of Gold Foil sheet with the texture die from the
Chic Dies. I looped some gold Simply Elegant Trim and adhered it with a glue dot. I just started laying out my hearts until I found the layout I liked best. Here is a little tip - Take a photo of the way you have it before you pull it all up to adhere the layers - that way you can just follow from the bottom to the top layer as you apply your adhesive and Dimensionals.
I used the gold embossing powder for the sentiment as well and added a few scattered Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins for more glimmer and shine!

Don't forget the envelope and the inside of your card!
Now it is on to see what all the other creative card makers have done with this sketch!!
