Sweet Valentine Tablescape

I am all ready for Valentine's Day here at Corner of Plaid and Paisley!

I am hopping along with 20 other table stylist to show off our LOVE-ly tables!!

I am the last stop on this Hop but if you are just starting all of the links to the other participating bloggers are at the bottom of my post for plenty of inspiration for the up coming Valentine Holiday.

My table is full of hearts and sweets!

I made a charcuterie style centerpiece with all sorts of sweets and a bit of salty.
Nothing says Happy Valentine's Day like some gummy lips!

I believe this board was supposed to be a spa bath board that fits across a bath tub - you know the kind we all use when we are drinking wine and reading a book in the bath tub!! 😂😅😂😅😂I found it in a cute little specialty gift store for half the amount that they wanted for a long Charcuterie Board.  I put down a layer of parchment paper and laid out all of my chocolates, cookies and marshmallow goodness on it - and no - just in case you were wondering - it has never been in my bathroom!!
I purchased these fun heart dishes (made by Tag) at TJMaxx last year and paired them up with a simple white plate with a beaded border that I had purchased years ago from World Market and some fun striped napkins that I had in my stash.
I hadn't been in World Market for quite a while, but just the other day, my husband was being fitted for new golf clubs and I was wasting time at a few of the stores around the golf shop and happened upon these pink glasses.  Between those and the red fortune cookies, I came out of World Market with a bag full of goodies for my table.

Just in case my guests did not get enough sweets off the centerpiece - they have a little take home treat box a few more goodies.
This was made with Stampin' Up!'s Mini Pocket Envelope dies - I cut two envelope pieces and made a box instead of a flat envelope.  I decorated it with the hearts from the new Country Bouquet Bundle.  It is nice to be able to pick out colors that coordinate my plates - this is Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler cardstock Blushing Bride ink for the hearts - matching the hearts on my plates.

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. Good Morning Ann! What a delightful spread of goodies and edible centerpiece on your Valentine table! So smart to repurpose a spa board…just the right size for your table and you still have the option of sipping and reading while soaking in your tub. 😉 Those gummy lips crack me up and I’ll be dreaming of those beautiful embossed chocolate hearts all day. Your heart plates are so festive and perfectly paired (naturally!) with your adorable Stampin' Up treat bags. As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Wishing you a Happy Valentine’s Day ♥

  3. Ann I love your "charcuterie board" and who cares if it is a spa board as it is full of truly delectable treats that I want to gobble up at your table. What a find on the heart plates...I always feel like I have really scored when I find novelty plates although I have long since run out of room.:(. The sign above your fireplace is perfect as I find myself always looking beyond your table to see what inspiration you have lurking in the background,.) Happy Valentines day to you and yours. I hope to be joining the group as soon as my IT issues are resolved. I love participating in these hops

  5. I love your Valentine treat charcuterie tray, Ann! Even if it was a tub tray in a former life, I do believe even the tray is happier serving sweets for this occasion😉. Those heart plates are too cute, and a closeup shows they are three dimensional with the design. Your Stampin' Up takeaways are darling, and you consistently make adorable little gifts for guests this way. I really love the textiles - the placemats, napkins and runner - you used. I'm so happy you joined our hop with your creative tablescape for Valentine's Day, Ann - thank you!❣️

  7. You had me at charcuterie! LOVE this! The heart plates paired with the striped napkins are cute! I am envious of your pink glasses. I need some like them because they are the color of my kitchen island. ;P
We have Cheese Plate Friday Night almost every week, and I think a Valentine's Day theme is such a cute idea that I might need to borrow it.
    Happy Valentine's!

  11. What a great idea to incorporate a charcuterie board for your centerpiece. How neat to combine sweet and salty. Your heart plates, table runner, stripe napkins, and place mats looks so well together. I miss World Market so much. They closed the store nearest me. I always came away with neat things from there.
I'm pinning your table and tucking away your sweets charcuterie idea.
It is always nice to blog hop with you.
