Welcome to my Christmas Table, this year we are celebrating at the cutest red barn!
This is what I think of when imagining all Christmas tree farms! After all - they all look like this on Hallmark movies, don't they?!!
I am joining 14 other table stylist in our Christmas Tablescape Hop today! Once again, Rita from Panoply has gathered a group of us together to celebrate the season the way we like to best - with pretty tables!!
All the links to the other blogs are at the end of my post - Please show everyone some love by visiting and commenting on your favorites!! We are all thrilled with an acknowledgment of our creations.

We are out at the barn this Christmas with lots of evergreens.
These plates are from Hobby Lobby, I bought the small plates early - thinking I could pair them up with some base plates that I had from my stash.
Well, that didn't work!
Of course by the time I decided I wanted to go back and get the dinner plates that coordinate, it was slim pickings.
For those of you who do not have a Hobby Lobby, this is a Christian owned company. They along with Chick-Fil- A are about the only two stores closed on Sundays. I can't tell you how many times I would forget that and try to stop there and they are closed. But since they are a Christian store - they so graciously allow a Salvation Army Bell Ringer in their lobby where it is nice and warm.
I made it a thing this year - that if I was going to make a trip into Hobby Lobby I would have to make a donation to the red kettle. This proved to be very lucrative for the Salvation Army!!
Between several art projects and decorating a room for a non-profit historical house - I made a lot of trips into the Hob Lob!! But I finally was able to secure 6 of the dinner plates I needed.
As I was walking out of Hobby Lobby with the last two dinner plates I needed to get all six for this table - I had to make my donation for the Salvation Army as promised. However, I did not have any cash with me this trip - low and behold the Salvation Army now takes Venmo!!!
Apparently when I pulled out my phone I had rearranged my cart just enough to jostle my bag enough to have one plate fall out of my bag and crash onto the floor!! Yep - the last plate they had was now smashed all over the lobby floor. Yikes.
To make a long story short - I was able to secure a replacement plate when I was visiting the big city of Columbus a few days laterand make one final donation to the kettle. I swear I am not going back in there again before Christmas!!

Ann, your Christmas barn table setting is so charming! I love pairing whimsy and elegance--pinned!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous table! It is so warm and welcoming! I chuckled over you stopping at HL on Sundays - I can't tell you how many times I have done that and then remembered they are closed! Enjoy the holiday season, your barn setting is so unique!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun and festive table, I love it.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I like the plaid tablecloth, the barn and evergreen plates, and the evergreen runner with the barn in the center. This is precious!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I love the barn plates and did not see them at my Hobby Lobby. The evergreen and barn theme is so fun and festive. I am so glad you were finally able to secure 6 dinner plates. The Salvation Army, I am certain, appreciated all of your shopping trips to HL. Your story sounds like me. I have often only bought 2 or 4 of something at HL and return for more and they are gone! Wishing you a Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteAnn, your barn theme table is adorable. Love the barn Centerpiece with your greenery. So glad you were able to score 6 of the dinner plates. What a story. Heartbreaking to know one of those plates fell and broke. Your trip to Columbus worked out perfectly to replace the. broken plate. Funny about HL being closed on Sundays.I have fallen into that situation too. I am sure the Salvation Army appreciate your donations. Happy holidays Ann.
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, Your barn Christmas tablescape is one that is close to my heart living in rural Wisconsin among farms with plenty of barns. There is something about barns that make being in the country cozy and inviting. The plates are absoutely gorgeous paired with the dinner plates of pine and pinecones. I love how you used everygreen for your table runner and centerpiece. The sweet little red barn in the center of the table is perfect and your red plaid tablecloth is a great choice to welcome guests. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThe things we do to find just the right Christmas decor, Ann, is always a great story. Your table turned out really well and I enjoyed the barn plates that you used. A country Christmas is so cozy and I loved the trees you chose for the table. The barn as part of the centerpiece is perfect and I loved the evergreen runner. Wishing you and your family a very merry Christmas.

Oh Ann, I am so sorry about the broken plate but I am so glad you persevered because your table is absolutely delightful. What a fun theme! The dishware is so cute and I love the plaid tablecloth and napkins with their wooden napkin rings. The barn and evergreen trees sitting on the garland with berries and pine cones sets a woodsy theme that is so perfect for the holidays. It was a pleasure hopping with you and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and happy holiday season!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I would delight in sitting at this festive table. I love those darling barn plates with the green plaid borders, and your greens down the center. This is all so special. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteAnn, Your red barn table is adorable! I love the contrast of the greenery against the cozy red plaid. The plate layers with the green plaid, boughs, topped with red barn and alternating trees are charming! I love that you made a promise to donate to the Salvation Army at each visit. Your story of breaking your last plate sounds like something that would happen to me….’no good deed goes unpunished’ π I’m glad you were able to round up another plate to complete your set and table! I love seeing your hutch decked out with more plaid, Santas and greenery and love your plate racks that you have flanking your hutch. As always, it’s a treat to hop with you and join you at the table. Wishing you a Merry December and Joyous Christmas season! π
ReplyDeleteAnn, of course all tree farms are as cozy and decorative as your tablescape! Oh gosh, I love the newest additions from all the HLs you visited this year. The dinner plates will work for so many other tables, just like your linens. The trees and barn are awesome-looking (and look so good together with the plates), and great scale overall on the table. I love your dining area with the hutch and wicker shade over the table. Your home looks really cozy, and very nicely decked out for this year's Christmas. Think how far you've come, lady! Truly inspiring!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for being part of the Christmas hop. Your company is a pleasure. Merry Christmas season.
Ann, I love the look of a forest winding through your table with the pop of a bright red barn peeking through them. They are wonderful against the cozy plaid. The two types of plates look like they were made for each other! And I like them stacked on white chargers -- I don't think of white ones for winter. Your shopping story is so relatable, lol. Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable Ann, and it does look like a Hallmark movie! I love the evergreen trees, and cute red barn centerpiece! The HL plates are so sweet, I am sorry you had such an ordeal securing them!! Good for you for your generous donations, I know they are much appreciated~ The pretty red plaid tablecloth and napkins are just perfect for your woodland setting! I hope you have a very Merry Holiday season!
