Spring with a Dash of Easter Table

Welcome to my corner of Spring in Ohio!  Where we are all celebrating the daffodils and tulips popping through the once frozen ground to start their job of bringing spring color after months of snow and grey skies.

My table is part of our Spring Tablescape hop arranged by Rita of Panoply.  Rita does such a wonderful job of coordinating all of us table enthusiasts together for these blog hops.

The links to the participating blogs are at the end of my post.  It is always fun to see what everyone has created!

My table reflects that celebration of spring with just a hint of Easter.  I have just a little bit of that color that we are starting to see here in the north.  This tablecloth has a mix of bounding bunnies, tulips and daffodils along with some decorated eggs which makes this a dash of Easter.
I have a few favorite early bloomers in my planter - narcissus (or mini daffodil) grape hyacinth, and some tulips that have not quite opened up yet.
I found these cute little painted champagne flutes in the dollar spot in Target.  Since Lily of the Valley flowers are featured on theses, I tucked some faux sprigs into my little sprinkling can napkin rings.
Some of my bunnies broke during the move - so I adopted two new hares from Micheals, they just  happened to hop into my cart!!
I used a plain pottery style placesetting on top of a eucalyptus leaf placemat and a yellow/gold checked napkin to pick up the colors from the tablecloth.
It would not be spring without a bird or two trying to build a nest in the wreath I have on my front door! So I decided tuck the little birds with a few speckled egges at the base of my plants.
I think this little hare looks very curious in this photo!  Are you curious as to what the other bloggers have put together for this hop?  Please enjoy these links and give my fellow bloggers some love!!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. Good morning Ann, I LOVE your tablecloth and foundation for your ‘Spring with a dash of Easter’ tablescape! Grape hyacinths are one of my favorite spring bulbs…so pretty in your planter with your daffodils and bird’s nest. Your bunnies are wonderful with their expressive faces and the sweet lily of the valley tucked in your watering can napkin rings to pair with your flutes. What a find your pretty flutes were at Target, and perfect with your tablecloth too! I always enjoy seeing how you styled your hutch in the background and what plates you have in your plate racks…a twin to one of mine this morning. πŸ‡ As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you again. Happy April! 🌸

  2. I am loving all of the bunnies this morning. I’m so sorry that a couple of yours got broken in the move, but it appears you recovered quite nicely. As an avid gardener, I am over the moon for your watering can napkin rings. Those are so cute! I also love that you tucked Lily of the Valley in there.

  4. Ann I love your table. The bunnies are so cute and compliment your bird nest with eggs, Spring flowers and gingham napkins. I, too have watering can napkin rings that I almost used today but mine are a shiny metal which I have been thinking of painting. Yours are adorable. Your hutch is also displaying beautiful Spring accents. I am always looking at new ways to decorate my hutch and I am going to steal a few of your ideas. I am so glad you are "settling" in after your move. You have been in my prayers. Happy Spring and Blessings Always. πŸ‡πŸ₯πŸ‘πŸŒž

  5. Ann, such a fun spring Easter table. The bunnies are darling. So sorry your other bunnies broke. The lattice planter looks lovely with the daffodils, hyacinth, and tulips. A sweet best filled with eggs is darling. Love the watering can napkin rings with the gingham. Your hutch looks like it is dressed for spring too. Always a pleasure hopping along with you.

  7. Ann, I love your table - it so pretty and springy! The delicate pattern on the tablecloth is the perfect background for your neutral dishware and dainty yellow gingham napkins with their watering can napkin rings with the sprig of lily of the valley tucked in. The champagne flutes are lovely - I wish we had a Target here. Love the centerpiece planter with daffodils and tulips and the wee bird's nest with eggs. Love the hares too - they are on my table as well lol. That is so funny about the birds trying to make a nest in your door wreath. It was a pleasure hopping with you and wishing you a wonderful spring and a joyous Easter!

  8. Ann, it seems like I am sitting inside a beautiful pastel Easter basket while sitting at your table. Your pastel colored tablecloth sets the foundation of being surrounded by daffodils and bunnies and lattice fences. Spring birds nexts, lily of the valley and watering cans all speaks volumes for Spring. I love how you carried that theme to your china cupboard too. Happy Easter to you and your family!
